After a beautiful day on the water, these are five of our favorite places to enjoy tacos in Cabo San Lucas Mexico.
1. Metate Cabo
For a more elevated take on traditional Mexican cuisine, Metate is a wonderful choice and a Michelin Bib Grourmand restaurant. It specializes in Mexican dishes and grilled meats prepared over a wood fire in a beautiful open-air setting. We recommend trying the Baja Tacos, made with blue corn tortillas, white fish in a distinctive squid-ink batter and pickled cabbage.

2. La Lupita Taco & Mezcal
La Lupita puts a creative spin on the traditional Mexican taquería and pairs its tacos with an impressive mezcal experience. There are plenty of interesting choices, but the La Gringa—marinated pork with asadero cheese, cilantro, onion and pineapple—is an excellent place to start. Recent diners also specifically recommend the flank steak tacos.

3. La Pintada
If you love pork tacos, put La Pintada on your list. Their delicious Pork Belly Taco combines pork belly with grilled cheese, guacamole, pineapple chutney, radish, pico de gallo and cilantro. It’s a rich, flavorful combination and one of our favorite tacos to recommend in Cabo.

4. Mother Flower
Located in downtown Cabo, Mother Flower combines Mexican and Baja seafood flavors with a touch of American influence in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. For tacos, try the Carne Asada with guacamole, cheese, árbol salsa, onion and cilantro, or the Carnitas with guacamole, cheese and salsa verde. Both are served on house-made flour tortillas.

5. Tacos Gardenias
A longtime Cabo favorite, Gardenias has been serving Mexican home-style food and tacos for more than 30 years. This is a great place to experience classic Baja fish and shrimp tacos, available breaded or grilled. You’ll also find cochinita pibil, barbacoa, nopales and other traditional favorites.
